Somehow, having meals in a bowl is more comforting and tasteful for me or maybe I’m just plain lazy, haha! I think that’s why noodles is always on the top of my favorite foods list. If I come across an authentic Southeast Asian store, I make sure to surf around and pick up something with familiar yet new flavors. Even though it’s quite difficult to find authentic sauces without fish sauce, anchovies, etc. I do manage to get my hands on a sauce or two to satisfy my taste buds. 😀Continue reading “Rice Vermicelli Tossed in Fresh Veggies and Chili Bean Sauce | Full Meal”
This right here is a super easy pasta recipe. I think it’s healthy to an extent, well if you omit the butter 😀 and can be prepared in very little time. Winter is in its last leg which means red chilli peppers are soon going to go out of season. This led me to buy them in bulk and look for ways to preserve them. Having made chili garlic chutney a couple of times, I wanted to try something new and found this really easy way to preserve red chillies on It’s Not Complicated. The method is mentioned in detail with clear instructions and explaining the use of each ingredient. Sandwiches are a perfect delight to prepare. All you need is a sandwich spread and a few ingredients on hand along with your favorite bread. The only thing to keep in mind is that your sandwiches need to be moist. Every bite should be speak FLAVOR. Sandwiches are also prepared in different styles. It all depends on the kind of mood you’re in. Some are best consumed when messy like a cheesy grilled, some of them are toasted and can be relished like an open toast or a closed style, and then you have cold sandwiches, perfect for a picnic or with your afternoon tea.Continue reading “Finger Sandwiches with Cottage Cheese/Paneer Filling | Tea Sandwiches”

As complicated as the name sounds, well at least for a non-Italian speaker like me 🙂 , spaghetti Aglio e Olio is one of the simplest and most fuss-free dishes I’ve come across. I’ve baked an eggless Chocolate Date Bundt Cake with Caramel Sauce. Adjust the quantity of dates and cocoa powder to your liking. Add in chopped walnuts for that crunch. Make your own chocolate glaze instead of a caramel/toffee sauce. Replace fresh cream with flavourless vegetable oil or butter. Adjust the quantity of sugar if you’re using sweeter dates like Madjool dates.Continue reading “Chocolate Date Bundt Cake With Caramel Sauce | Eggless Baking”

There’s something about roasting as a cooking process. It intensifies the taste of an ingredient and brings out the flavors so beautifully that it leaves you wanting for more. All that time you spend waiting around for your veggies to roast gets balanced out with the result you get in the end.
This roasted pumpkin soup has got subtle flavors. It’s warm, naturally sweet, savory, oniony, garlicky.. Just so comforting! I’ve used raw pumpkin here which can be replaced with butternut squash or ripe pumpkin. The roasted garlic gives it an added flavor. Just so you know, the aroma is heavenly. Use it in any possible savory dish to heighten its taste. Dunk a gooey cheese sandwich in this thick warm soup and devour every bite.Continue reading “Roasted Pumpkin Soup With Caramelized Onions”

Digging into burgers is always a messy affair and why shouldn’t it be? I don’t think it would be a fun meal without the mess. 😀 You have to indulge yourself in the whole experience to really enjoy the goodness. No wonder, it’s most people’s favorite food because of the very same reason, especially with kids.
A burger is only good if all the elements in it are bursting with flavor. The ingredients should be fresh and of good quality. The patty I’ve made here contains a good amount of soya granules (I’ve used the brand Nutrela), and I’ve paired it with carrots and onions. Feel free to swap or add in more veggies to your liking. You can even add green peas, corn, broccoli, etc.Continue reading “Soya Burger With Chilli Garlic Hung-Curd Dip At Home | Full Meal”

Mustard is a superfood, packed with immense flavor in all its forms, be it leaves, seeds, oil, or even a sauce for that matter. When it comes to using this superfood in the kitchen, I find joy in making my ingredients from scratch as opposed to buying them from the supermarket. The best part is that you have the liberty to alter the taste and consistency according to what you desire and also use fresh ingredients.
The one I have made here is an easy mustard sauce recipe made with just 3 ingredients. I’ve kept it strong, more like a concentrate, therefore, it’s quite pungent in taste. This way I have more options to alter the taste as per the dish I’m making. Add this sauce to various salad dressings, sandwich spreads, dips, marinades, etc. Feel free to add in honey, olive oil, garlic, black pepper, lemon, and more such ingredients keeping in mind the taste you’re looking for.Continue reading “Mustard Sauce At Home | DIY Ingredients”
